In a primetime contest, quarterback Brock Purdy turned in a historic performance, tossing a career-best five touchdown passes to lead his team to a decisive 48-27 triumph. The victorious effort was capped off by a key 74-yard pick-six for a score.

Scoring Display Lead the Way

Purdy was remarkably sharp, connecting on 25 of his 34 attempts for 295 yards. His primary weapons included standout running back Christian McCaffrey, who gained 117 yards on 21 carries and also caught six passes for 29 yards and two touchdowns. Receiver George Kittle also excelled, securing seven receptions for 115 yards and a score.

Postseason Picture Taking Shape

With this win, the winning side continued their positive run to five consecutive games, solidifying their standing in the hunt for a top playoff seed. This triumph also snapped a five-game losing skid against this specific opponent.

The opposing quarterback, making his second appearance after a five-year absence, posted a strong effort, passing for 277 yards and two touchdowns. However, a fourth-quarter turnover returned for a score ultimately decided the game.

Game Recap

• Opening Frame: The scoring began with a twenty-yard touchdown pass from the opposing quarterback. Purdy responded with a 22-yard scoring strike to tie the game.
• Second Quarter: After a fumble on the kickoff, Purdy connected with McCaffrey for a short touchdown. The opponents answered back before Purdy tossed his third TD pass to take back the lead.
• After Halftime: Purdy kept his hot streak, adding another touchdown pass early in the third quarter. A fourth-quarter rushing touchdown by the other side briefly closed the gap.
• Closing Moments: The winning team put the game away with another Purdy-to-McCaffrey touchdown connection, followed shortly later by the decisive interception return.

This loss marks the fifth consecutive setback for the defeated squad, dimming their postseason hopes as the regular season nears its end.
