Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced disruption to water systems, according to local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, Europe and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and applying restrictions," he wrote in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.
