Delta Airlines reported the Airbus A350 went through "brief turbulence" as it arrived at its destination.

Multiple passengers and crew were hurt following a Delta Airlines flight traveling from Los Angeles to Sydney was hit by significant turbulence this past Friday.

Flight DL41 "encountered brief turbulence" as it landed at the Sydney airport, a representative for the carrier informed. Four flight attendants sustained injuries.

Emergency medical services said they assessed five patients, and took three of them to the hospital with relatively minor issues that included pain in the back and headaches. Those affected spanned from their thirties and seventies.

It is the most recent case of commercial jets experiencing atmospheric disturbance, with aviation specialists indicating that shifting climate patterns is a significant contributor.

There were 245 passengers and fifteen staff members on the wide-body jet, the representative noted, stating that the plane touched down "safely" at the airport at 06:48 local time on Friday.

Emergency responders said they received a call just three minutes ahead of the plane arrived, and emergency vehicles were ready and waiting at the airport.
